Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Chew Kai He Dillon("GigJar", "we", "us") for using the GigJar app and website. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What GigJar is

GigJar helps you record spending, income and freelance earnings, schedule jobs, see your money habits, and compare progress with friends. It includes rule-based tips and an AI money coach.

2. Not financial advice

GigJar's tips and money coach give general information only. They aren't financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and we aren't a licensed financial adviser. They rely on what you enter, which may be incomplete. The coach uses artificial intelligence and can be wrong. Check important decisions with a qualified professional, and check tax and CPF matters with IRAS and the CPF Board. You're responsible for your own financial decisions.

3. Your account

● You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.

● Give accurate sign-up details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.

● You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

4. Premium subscriptions

● GigJar is free to use. Premium is an optional subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play.

● Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.

● Cancel any time in your Apple or Google account settings. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.

● Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

● We may change what's included in the Free and Premium plans, or Premium prices. Price changes for existing subscribers follow the store's rules, and we'll give notice in the app.

5. Using GigJar fairly

Don't misuse GigJar. That includes:

● trying to access other people's accounts or data

● interfering with the service or overloading it

● using the money coach for anything unlawful

● harassing other users through buddy or challenge features

● copying or reselling the service

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

6. Your content

What you put into GigJar stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

Some features rely on others, such as Google Calendar, Apple, Google Play, and the AI provider behind the money coach. Their own terms apply to your use of their services, and we aren't responsible for them.

8. Availability

We work to keep GigJar running and your data safe, but it's provided "as is". We can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own records of anything important, for example by exporting your data.

9. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on GigJar's figures, tips or coach. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for GigJar in the 12 months before the claim, or S$50 if you haven't paid anything. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that can't be excluded.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we'll tell you in the app before they apply. Continuing to use GigJar after that means you accept them.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction.
