Effective 30/10/2026. Last updated 30/10/2026.
GigJar ("GigJar", "we", "us") is run by Chew Kai He Dillon in Singapore. This policy explains what personal data the GigJar app and website collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
The short version: we collect what you put into GigJar so the app can work. We don't show ads, and we don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Some of these providers store or process data outside Singapore, for example in the United States. When we transfer data overseas, we use providers that are bound by contract to protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
If you connect Google Calendar, GigJar asks only for permission to manage calendar events. We use it only to create, update and delete events for jobs you schedule in GigJar. We don't read your other events, and we don't use Google data for advertising or share it except as needed to provide this feature. GigJar's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect at any time in GigJar's Settings or in your Google Account.
● Your account and everything in it: until you delete your account.
● Money-coach chats: until you clear the chat or delete your account.
● Password-reset codes: 15 minutes.
● Server logs: up to 30 days.
● Database backups: deleted data may remain in backups for up to 7 days before it's overwritten.
● See and correct your data in the app at any time, or ask us for a copy.
● Export a year of entries as a spreadsheet (Premium), or ask us for a copy.
● Withdraw consent and delete everything in Settings > Delete account. This erases your account and data straight away. If you have Premium, cancel your subscription with Apple or Google too.
● Stop sharing monthly totals with buddies, remove buddies, leave challenges, clear the coach chat, or disconnect Google Calendar, all in the app.
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, reset codes are stored hashed, and we limit repeated login attempts. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm, we'll tell you and the Personal Data Protection Commission as the PDPA requires.
GigJar isn't meant for children under 13. If you're under 18, please get a parent's or guardian's permission before using GigJar or buying Premium.
If we make important changes, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
Questions, requests or complaints: our Data Protection Officer is Chew Kai He Dillon, reachable at privacy@gigjarapp.com. We'll reply within 14 days.
